Pelvic floor physical therapy is now available at Magee Riverfront Outpatient Center. A person may be referred to pelvic floor physical therapy for a variety of reasons, including urinary or fecal incontinence, bladder emptying problems, constipation, chronic pelvic pain, painful intercourse, sexual dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and musculoskeletal aches and pains. A specially trained physical therapist focuses on increasing function, reducing pain, and helping patients return to their everyday activities. A physician prescription is required.
