Barbara J. Browne, MD

Barbara J. Browne, MD, earned her BA in Biology at Oberlin College in Ohio in 1982, and then received her MD from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in1986. Her residencies included training in both Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine Rehabilitation. Now she is Magee’s only staff member to be board certified in both Internal Medicine and Physical Medicine.

Dr. Browne is a member of several professional and academic societies including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She has published abstracts in medical journals such as Paraplegia and The Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has conducted numerous clinical lectures on stroke rehabilitation to both consumer and professional audiences.

Dr. Browne is an expert in the areas of stroke, geriatrics and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
