Each month, the Health & Wellness Center at Magee Riverfront honors one of its clients as the “Wellness Triumph of the Month.” Today, meet Perry.
In 2016, Perry went to have surgery as a result of an infection in his spine. He was unable to walk or move his legs after the surgery. Perry chose to take his recovery to the Magee’s main hospital where he was an inpatient for months. After discharge, he joined the Day Rehab program at Magee Riverfront and eventually the Wellness Center in September 2017. In Wellness, he loves to use the Equalizer, ride the NuStep, stretch on the mat, and walk with a walker! Perry is an auto mechanic and was born in Naples, Italy but has spent the last 61 years living in South Philadelphia with his wife, Rosa. Perry says his main motivation has come from his four children and five grandchildren.
