Wellness Triumph of the Month: Alan’s Story

Each month, the Health & Wellness Center at Magee Riverfront honors one of its clients as the “Wellness Triumph of the Month.” Today, meet Alan.

In December 2012, right before the new year, Alan Sears suffered a stroke that severely affected the left side of his body. Alan started his therapy at Magee Riverfront in the Day Rehab program before transitioning to the Wellness Center in July 2013. Alan is a double board certified Gastroenterologist who owned his own practice. He’s been practicing for 30 years. On his days off, he loved to enjoy his shore house in Margate and also loves sports and music. Alan says he hopes to get back on the beach soon. You’ll often find him walking around the gym playing music out loud and singing his favorite song, Life’s Been Good, by Joe Walsh.
