This Weekend: Magee Freedoms Wheelchair Tennis Tournament

Looking for a summer event that will keep you out of the heat?  Come to the Magee Freedoms Wheelchair Tennis tournament!  Magee’s annual wheelchair tennis tournament is August 9-11 at the Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club in Cherry Hill, NJ, home to Magee’s wheelchair tennis team, the Magee Freedoms.  The Racquet Club provides indoor courts for the tournament matches and practice throughout the year.

The weekend-long tournament allows wheelchair tennis athletes from different areas throughout the East Coast compete against each other in both doubles and singles matches.  Matches begin Friday at 4 p.m. and conclude on Sunday afternoon.

Interested in cheering on Team Magee and learning more about wheelchair tennis?  Come out to the tournament!  Admission is free, and people of all ages are encouraged to attend.  Volunteers are also needed to help throughout the weekend.  Sign up to volunteer by clicking here! Here’s the schedule of this weekend’s events:

Friday August 9, 4 p.m.: Matches start
Friday August 9, 9 p.m.: Matches end
Saturday, August 10, 8 a.m.: Matches start
Saturday, August 10, 5 p.m.: Matches end
Sunday, August 11, 8:15 a.m.: Matches start.

Tournament ends when all matches have been played.
