Magee Wins HAP Achievement Award

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is among the winners of the Hospital & Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) Achievement Awards. The HAP Awards go to organizations for outstanding efforts to improve health care in the state. Magee won the In Safe Hands Award for its innovative project on how to stop pressure ulcers in high-risk patients.

Entries were evaluated by a 15-judge panel representing the public and private sectors, health care and business organizations, and for-profit and nonprofit entities. Twelve award recipients were selected from 110 total award submissions, and were chosen for their exceptional work and innovation in areas that affect patients, communities, and employees.

“HAP congratulates this year’s Achievement Award winners and all entrants for their significant efforts to adopt or develop best practices that advance health care delivery in Pennsylvania,” HAP President and CEO Andy Carter says. “Pennsylvania hospitals are forward-thinking, innovative, and patient-centric organizations, and these awards provide much-deserved recognition. They also inspire and generate ideas that will further accelerate progress across the state.”

Magee is honored to have earned a HAP Achievement Award for its critical work in patient safety.
