With the construction to start soon on Magee Rehabilitation Hospital’s new Creative Therapy Center and Healing Gardens, the employees of Magee generously contributed to the cause! The Creative Therapy Center and Healing Gardens will be located on Magee’s 6th floor and rooftop. The project will consist of new art therapy studio, healing gardens, a spirituality and meditation center, and many other areas to help the patients at Magee on their road to recovery.
Throughout the month of July, Magee initiated an employee campaign to help get staff involved. The goal of the campaign was to raise $25,000, which would be matched with a grant from the McLean Contributionship. Magee employees exceeded the goal by over $6,000! More than $31,000 was raised by over 40% of Magee’s employees. In the midst of all the campaigning, employees participated in a hospital-wide bake sale, a 50/50 raffle, a jeans day fundraiser, and a dirt pudding party on the rooftop!
The Creative Therapy Center and Healing Gardens Employee Campaign was a huge success thanks to the generosity and support of the Magee employees. Way to go, Team Magee!
