Giving Back to Magee: Golf4Jackie

Saturday, May 28 was a beautiful day!  The friends and family of Jackie Lithgow gathered for the 3rd annual Golf4Jackie Golf Outing.  Jackie’s Magee story began on February 23, 2014 when he was assaulted during his freshman year at college, critically injured with a fractured skull and severe traumatic brain injury.  At Magee, Jackie participated in physical, occupational, speech, recreational, art and horticultural therapy.  Jackie and his family lived at Magee for six months, returning home for Thanksgiving 2014.  Click here to read The Philadelphia Inquirer article about Jackie’s return home.  Jackie continues his recovery and is doing great!  He returned to Bloomsburg University and plans to continue his studies.

Jackie, his family and friends wanted to give back to Magee, and chose to donate all the proceeds from the 2016 golf outing to Magee’s traumatic brain injury unit.  The golf outing raised over $16,000 for Magee!  The Lithgow Family presented Magee with a check last week, and the money will go toward helping Magee patients with traumatic brain injury.  This money will go toward helping Magee patients like Jackie get back to living their life.
