5th Annual Golf Outing Raises $50K for Adam Taliaferro Foundation and Magee

On October 19, The Adam Taliaferro Foundation & Magee Rehabilitation Hospital hosted their 5th annual Golf Outing at Green Valley Country Club.  110 golfers teed off on a brisk October morning for a good cause. The group was thrilled to hear from former patient and Penn State football star turned Assemblyman Adam Taliaferro. Adam reminded the players that by participating in this event they were changing lives.  To keep the day interesting, there were games throughout the course including a putting contest and a Bet-a-Birdie challenge, but the crowd favorite were the cocktails on ten. After golf, the players returned to the Green Valley clubhouse for hors d’oeuvre and an auction. Highlights included an Ocean City beach house, an opulent basket of cheer, and a bunch of sports memorabilia. Magee Board Member and former Philadelphia Eagle John Spagnola led the dinner program and silent auction which was filled with firsthand accounts of how the funds raised were helping others.  The program was kept brief so everyone could get home in time for the Eagles vs. Giants kick-off, but all told, $50,000 was raised for The Adam Taliaferro Foundation and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.
