Magee offers comprehensive rehab for many conditions.
The General Rehab Program at Magee provides comprehensive rehabilitation to individuals with a wide variety of medical, orthopedic and neurologic disorders. Programs are tailored to the needs of individuals with arthritis, cancer, cardiac disease, limb amputation, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, status post organ transplantation, and functional decline secondary to prolonged medical illness or neurologic disorders.
The Rehabilitation Team in collaboration with the patient and family establish rehabilitation goals unique to the needs of the patient. The focus of rehabilitation care is to stabilize and improve medical status, increase functional capacity and increase independence in activities of daily living.
The General Rehabilitation Program services are available in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and Day Rehab. Magee treats patients who are at least 14 years old, and has a specialized adolescent coordinator that works with young people. Within the last year, Magee has treated 4 general rehab inpatients and 8 outpatients under the age of 18.
