Two Magee Rehabilitation Hospital doctors are named among the top physicians in their field in the May 2010 issue of Philadelphia Magazine.

Chief Medical Officer Guy W. Fried, M.D., and Assistant Medical Director of Educational Programs Chris Formal, M.D are listed in the category of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Every year, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., surveys the region’s physicians to find those they consider to be the best in their fields. Castle Connolly sends out tens of thousands of invitation letters to physicians in private practice as well as to the medical leadership of major medical centers, specialty hospitals, teaching hospitals and regional medical centers.  These physicians nominate outstanding physicians in various specialties and subspecialties “to whom you would send members of your family.”

The process asks not only for doctors who excel in academic medicine and research, but also for those with outstanding interpersonal skills.

The results are published in Philadelphia Magazine's annual Top Doctors issue which comes out every year in May.
