On September 16, the Ethics Advisory Committee of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital will host two distinguished visitors from Japan: Dr. Yoshitaka Wada, a professor of law at Waseda University in Toyko, and Dr. Toshimi Nakanishi, an Ob-gyn and professor of medicine and bioethics at Yamagata University. Magee Rehab patient Sal Corma was given bad news. His son, 1st Lt. Salvatore Corma was killed serving his country in Afghanistan. Then, due to his medical condition, he was told he wouldn't be able to go to Dover Air Base to claim his son's remains. But Magee's staff found a way to make it possible and Mr. Corma was in Dover when the military transport arrived. So was his therapist, Alex Kobb.

On Monday, March 22 at 11:30am, Paul Wiese, the lead singer and guitarist of local Irish band, Birmingham Six performed for patients and staff of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in the dining room. Ths is the second year in a row that Wiese has donated his time and talent to the hospital. “Believe me, the rest of the band would be coming too if they could,” said Wiese. “But they have day jobs to go to.”
