Magee Rehabilitation Hospital Names Springsteen to Board of Trustees

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital announced that Susan L. Springsteen of Downingtown, Pa. (19335), is a new member of its Board of Trustees. Ms. Springsteen also serves as an Executive Committee Member of the Jerry Segal Classic, a golfing event that benefits the patients of Magee.

Ms. Springsteen is First Vice President of Morgan Stanley, where she advises individuals with "life change" financial decisions connected with assets acquired through major life changes, the sale of business, divorce, estate planning or settlement, retirement, or injury. On the institutional side, she assists corporations, municipalities, and non-profit organizations in managing operating funds, retirement assets, and locating financing alternatives.

A graduate of Wheaton College, Ms. Springsteen began her career creating private investments and managing portfolios for high net worth individuals at Butcher&Co. in Philadelphia. In 1992 she joined Legg Mason, where she teamed up with Bruce Hotaling to form The Springsteen Hotaling Group, a wealth management division of Legg Mason. In 2003 she and her team became part of Morgan Stanley. The Springsteen Hotaling Group was awarded the "Best Wealth Management Group on the Main Line" by Main Line Today Magazine in 2003.

Ms. Springsteen is a daily stock market commentator for KYW NewsRadio, a frequent guest on morning TV talk shows, a former host for the regional financial program "Money Matters," and a former adjunct faculty member for Delaware Valley Community College. She was a special panelist for the 2000 Philadelphia Investors Conference and the Chester County Community Foundation Annual Meeting. She created the Main Line Equity Index, a financial index comprised of Main Line companies. She is currently completing the requirements for her CFP designation and is a four-time member of the President's Council. Her accomplishments have been featured in publications such as On Wall Street, The Player, and the Daily Local News.

Ms. Springsteen balances her financial career with her lifelong passion for horses. A successful Dressage competitor, she was a finalist in the 2001 selection trial to represent the United States at the Young Horse World Championships for Dressage in Verden, Germany. She has earned the prestigious United States Dressage Federation bronze and silver medals for her high-scoring horse show performances. She has numerous horse show wins to her credit from the basic Training Level through the highest international level test, the Grand Prix. In 2006, she was ranked in the top five percent of U.S. dressage riders at the 4th and Prix St George levels.

Susan is also a Board member of Chester County Futures, an academic enrichment and scholarship program for financially challenged high school students, a Board member of The Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, and serves a variety of needs at Calvary Fellowship Church.
