The Mid-Atlantic Region's top wheelchair athletes competed in the 2011 Philadelphia Wheelchair Tennis Tournament on Aug. 12--14 at the Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

The event featured wheelchair athletes from across the east coast, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland and was covered by NBC10 News.

The Magee Wheelchair Tennis Team, sponsored by Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, hosts the tournament and sponsorship is provided by Magee Rehabilitation Hospital and the Cherry Hill Health and Racquet Club.

The region's leading sponsor of sports and leisure activities for individuals with disabilities, Magee Rehabilitation Hospital offers wheelchair sports programs in tennis, rugby, basketball and power soccer. Magee has teamed with a number of local sports franchises to from the Magee Sixers Spokesmen wheelchair basketball team, the Magee Eagles wheelchair rugby team and the Magee Kixx power wheelchair soccer team. Teams are open to anyone in the community with a disability.

Magees own Troy Eap, Michael Sullivan, Felix Suero, Marx Phu, John Kistner and Kyle Bradford compete in the tournament. Michael Sullivan of the Magee Freedoms made it to the MenҒs "C" Singles Division championship only to be defeated by Ricardo Corral from Bronx, NY. The winners of each division were:

 MenՒs "A" Singles- Mark Jenkinson (Martinsburg, WV)
 MenՒs "B" Singles- Steve Bobadilla (Rockville, MD)
 MenՒs "C" Singles- Ricardo Corral (Bronx, NY)
 MenՒs "A" Doubles- Ricardo Corral (Bronx, NY)/ Cristobal Rivera (Valley Stream, NY)
 MenՒs "B/C" Doubles- Jack Beaulieu (Roville Centre, NY)/ Janet Suppa (Altoona, PA)
