On Thursday, June 2, David P. Hardy, CEO of Boys' Latin of Philadelphia Charter came to Magee Rehabilitation Hospital to give spinal cord injury patient Foday Gibateh his diploma.

Gibateh will not be able to attend the school's graduation June 6 because he received a spinal cord injury in a car accident.

Boys' Latin and Magee did not want Gibateh to miss out on graduation.

Gibateh is the first Boys' Latin graduate to be accepted to a 4-year college/university (Penn State) and is the first person in his family to attend college/university.
