4th Annual Adam Taliaferro Foundation and Magee Rehabilitation Golf Outing
Monday, October 20, 2014
Green Valley Country Club

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in partnership with The Adam Taliaferro Foundation will host their fourth annual golf outing on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.  Proceeds  benefit spinal cord injury research, rehabilitation, and quality of life programs supported by the Adam Taliaferro Foundation and Magee Rehabilitation Hospital.

Former Penn State cornerback Adam Taliaferro was paralyzed while making a tackle in a game against Ohio State in 2000. Adam was a promising freshman athlete who seemed to have an NFL career in his future.  After spinal-fusion surgery, doctors told Adam's parents their son would probably never walk again.  But after three months of intensive therapy, tireless determination, and support from his family, Adam walked out of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia. Today, Adam has embarked on a career as a practicing attorney and supporter of individuals who have incurred spinal cord injuries. The Adam Taliaferro Foundation provides emotional, financial and educational support to student athletes who suffer catastrophic head or spinal cord injuries in sanctioned team events in New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Delaware.  The Foundation also provides funding for research, prevention and care of such injuries.
