In honor of Recreational Therapy Month, we will be highlighting some of our amazing patients throughout the month of February. Today’s spotlight is on Kevin, a 19-year-old patient on Magee’s SCI unit. About Rec Therapy, Kevin says:
“Rec Therapy made me want to do more things instead of just being in the house. Now I feel as though I can go outside after being paralyzed, like I can do more than I thought I could. The community outings made me feel like I could start a new life, just in a different way. My favorite memory of Rec Therapy was going to the Carousel House to watch a wheelchair basketball practice.”
