Meet Magee’s Philadelphia Marathon Team!

We’ve been training all year, and this weekend, it all comes down to this: the Philadelphia Marathon! Team Magee is pumped and ready to go. Our team is diverse each and every year, including staff members, former patients, wheelchair athletes and members of the community who want to support Magee. Today, we’re going to introduce you to just a few of the members of Team Magee.

Meet Terry, a Philly local who is running in Rothman 8K. He decided to join Magee’s team to help raise money for our Wheelchair Sports Program. As a good friend of our Wheelchair Sports Coordinator Keith Newerla, he thought this would be a great opportunity to give back. He has been training hard for the past two months, and is looking forward to completing the race while supporting Magee! Click here to help Terry reach his fundraising goal.

Meet Christina, Magee’s Annual Giving and Events Manager. She is running the Rothman 8K for Team Magee for the second year in a row, and has seen first hand how the money raised during the Marathon impacts our community of people living with disabilities. A fan of all Magee’s wheelchair sports teams, she is consistently inspired by the dedication and athleticism of all the players. Click here to help Christina reach her fundraising goal.

Meet… YOU! Yes, YOU! You can also be a member of Team Magee this year, and you don’t even have to leave your couch. Just join Team Let Them Run and donate $26.20 in solidarity with our runners and hand cyclists. Click here to join Team Let Them Run.

We hope to see you cheering on Team Magee from the sidelines this weekend!
