Time for some pomp and circumstance — we have a graduation to celebrate here at Magee! On Tuesday, we held a special graduation ceremony for Derrick Redcay, a graduating senior at Muhlenberg High School in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Derrick, who is at Magee receiving rehabilitation for a stroke to his spinal cord, was cheered on by family, friends and his treatment team as he accepted his diploma from MHS principal Michael Mish. Mish wore a “Redcay Strong” t-shirt, and placed a call to Muhlenberg School District Superintendent Dr. Joseph Macharola to make it official.

A big thank you to everyone who planned and attended the event, and an even bigger congratulations to Derrick, class of 2014! We know you are bound for great things!
